En su aniversario natal recordamos a Frank Sinatra con uno de sus mayores éxitos, Strangers in the night, composición acreditada a Bert Kaempfert (aun hoy no está del todo clara su autoría) con letra de Charles Singleton y Eddie Snyder publicada en single en mayo de 1966 y que también dio título a un ábum del divo de Hoboken que resultó el más comercial de toda su carrera. Curiosamente la canción no gustó nada al cantante cuando le fue ofrecida, por lo que hubo que cambiarle arreglo y letra. Single y álbum alcanzaron el nº 1 en las listas de Billboard (puesto que Sinatra no había alcanzado desde 1955), en las británicas y las de muchos países del mundo.
