La cantante y actriz estadounidense Diana Ross  celebra hoy su 70 cumpleaños. Desde su comienzo en el showbiz a los 15 años hasta hoy lleva 55 años en la brecha. Fue la cantante femenina más exitosa de la era pop en tres décadas, los 60 (con The Supremes, doce números uno en Billboard), los 70 y 80 (en solitario, 6 números uno). Ha vendido más de 100 millones de discos. Como actriz consiguió una nominación al Oscar por la película "Lady sings the blues" (1972).

 
Cuando Diana Ross dejó The Supremes, Ain't no mountain high enough (1970) fue su primer gran hit, un tema emblemático de su carrera, que en el video se puede apreciar en una espectacular actuación de 1979 en el Caesar Palace de Las Vegas.
