El cómico y entertainer estadounidense Jimmy Durante nació tal día como hoy hace 130 años. Su última grabación de éxito fue One of those songs, canción que con el título de "Le bal de Madame De Mortemouille", fue compuesta por el francés Gérard Calvi para la revista musical "La plume de ma tante" de Robert Dhéry, estrenada en Londres en 1955 (con letra del inglés Ross Parker) y después transferida a Broadway en 1958, donde se mantuvo en cartel durante 835 representaciones, para luego ser presentada en Las Vegas, Los Angeles y San Francisco a lo largo de 1961. En América el musical fue retitulado "Girls of the Folies Bergère".  

Con nueva letra adaptada por el estadounidense Will Holt, One of those songs se convertiría en standard que grabaron artistas como Jimmy Durante, Trini Lopez, Liza Minnelli o Shirley Bassey.
