Procol Harum - A whiter shade of pale

He quí una emblemática canción de la segunda mitad de los 60. El single fue número uno durante seis semanas en 1967. El grupo británico (de un solo pero memorable hit) Procol Harum se inspiró en Johann Sebastian Bach para su envolvente instrumentación (¡ese órgano casi eclesial!), inaugurando así un género que primero se denominó como rock progresivo y después sinfónico. Su muy inusual texto sugiere una metafórica forma de seducción sexual. En España fue conocida como "Con su blanca palidez".

as the miller told his tale
