Remo Germani - Stasera no, no, no

REMO GERMANI (Milano, Italia, 31-5-1938 / Vigevano, Italia, 18-10-2010): IN MEMORIAM

Hoy se cumplen seis años del fallecimiento del cantante italiano Remo Germani. En los años 60 pasó de actuar en nightclubs a ser conocido fuera de su país gracias a las cuatro canciones con que fue finalista en el Festival de Sanremo, la primera de las cuales fue Stasera no, no, no.

Remo Speroni (su nombre real) dejó su puesto como empleado de banca para dedicarse a la música tras haber formado el grupo I Rangers, iniciando su carrera discográfica en 1962 después de casarse y tener un hijo, aunque ya actuaba ocasionalmente desde los diecinueve años. Su primer hit fue Baci (1963), versión de "Things" de Bobby Darin, cuyo éxito propició la aparición de su primer álbum con el mismo título.

En cuatro años consecutivos participó en el Festival de Sanremo, llegando siempre a la final con las canciones: Stasera no, no, no (1964), que también cantaron Nino Tempo & April Stevens, Prima o poi (1965), emparejado a Audrey, Così come viene (1966), con Les Surfs, y E allora dai! (1967), con Giorgio Gaber.

Entre 1964 y 1967 también intervino como actor en cuatro películas y continuó su carrera musical haciendo giras por Rumanía, Hungría, Rusia, Canadá, España, Francia y Extremo Oriente. En los años 70 estudió música en los Estados Unidos y se especializó como arreglista y en los 80 encabezó una orquesta de baile. Grabó sus dos últimos álbumes en 1990 y 1998 respectivamente.

Tras una larga enfermedad Remo Germani falleció a los 72 años.

Stasera no, no, no (Pallavicini/Roncarati) supuso el debut de Remo Germani en la XIV edición del Festival de Sanremo (1964).

Un recuerdo a la cantante Toña La Negra en su aniversario natal con uno de sus boleros más conocidos, Cenizas, composición de Wello Rivas incluida en el álbum "La sensación jarocha" (1961) de la inolvidable intérprete veracrucense.

Rita Hayworth - I've been kissed before

Un recuerdo a Rita Hayworth en su aniversario natal con esta provocativa secuencia musical de "La dama de Trinidad" (1952) de Vincent Sherman, un thriller en la línea de "Gilda" (1946) en el que también tuvo a Glenn Ford como oponente. En la película interpretaba (doblada con la voz de Jo Ann Gardner) dos canciones escritas por Lester Lee y Bob Russel: Trinidad Lady y I've been kissed before. Esta última es la que puede apreciarse en el video siguiente.
