Marianne Faithfull - 20th century blues

NOTHING TO WIN OR TO LOSE

Twentieth century blues es una canción escrita por Noël Coward para su obra "Cavalcade" (1933). Décadas después, en 1996, la veterana cantante inglesa Marianne Faithfull la interpretó, acompañada del pianista Paul Trueblood en un concierto en vivo en el nightclub parisino New Morning en el que recreaba antiguas canciones de Kurt Weill y Bertolt Brecht, Friedrich Holländer y otros. El álbum, editado en c.d. en 1997, se tituló precisamente 20th century blues y pronto se convirtió en disco de culto.
